Our desire, at FCOG-Kirksville, is for you to first and foremost know God, the Grand Overall Designer. The first verse in the Bible say, “In the beginning God…” God’s design and way works best. Have you ever tried to use a spoon as a hammer? Living life without God is asking for disaster like me trying to put together that 150 piece bathroom vanity from Walmart without reading the instructions. I now realize why it matters which side is the back side. Ugh.

RELATE TO OTHERS

We want to promote healthy, loving relationships where we learn to live life deeper with each other and with God. Small groups is our way to encourage this. None of us are perfect, but in these groups, our goal is to learn to not only love God but learn to love those around us better. Our small groups meet on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM. Please contact us for locations.

Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ c 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ d 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-38)

REACH OUT

When you experience the forgiveness, leadership, and grace of God, your perspective changes. When you realize how much God loves you, you want others to experience what you know. Like a favorite restaurant or cool phone app, you want others to know about it.

We have been given a mission to help our world by Jesus. “…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
